I don’t encounter much exposure of Blue Diamond Luxury Boutique Hotel on social media. Maybe I’m not looking in the right places; maybe I’m not paying enough attention…Regardless, here’s a suite category with a rooftop terrace that will blow. your. mind.

New Series of Videos on Rooftop Suites…
I’ve decided to do a series on rooftop suites in all-inclusive resorts in Cancun and the Riviera Maya. While my personal favorite is a good swim-up suite, rooftop suites are a great alternative to having an awesome vacation with a guaranteed bird’s eye view.
Hotel Xcaret Airport Lounge
For those of you who don’t already know, Hotel Xcaret guests (that means guests of Hotel Xcaret Mexico, Hotel Xcaret Arte, and Casa de la Playa) can make use of the airport lounge specifically for all guests waiting for resort shuttle transportation. Right now this lounge is only available at Terminal 4, but other lounges are being built at other Cancun airport international terminals.
Fun Video of Riviera Maya Coastline…
Here’s a fun, short video of the coastline area from Playa del Carmen south to Sian Ka’an Biosphere. At this point in my travels to the area I recognize so many resorts and beach areas in the video; it makes me more nostalgic but still so enjoyable to see my home away from home!
What’s New At Palmaia House of AiA?
I’ve always been curious about this resort and what guests experience while staying at Palmaia House of AiA. It’s touted as being the equivalent of staying in Tulum at an all-inclusive resort with a great beach. (This would appeal to vacationers who enjoy all-inclusives but know that Tulum proper only has one all-inclusive with a lousy beach). I walked past this resort when it was almost complete and swam in the water, so I know where it is located as well as what the environs are like. If you know where Sandos Playacar is, this resort is the very last one on this southern stretch of Playacar Beach. As long as the sargassum is under control, Playacar Beach is one of the most beautiful and lengthy stretches of beach in the Riviera Maya. The resort has tried to retain a natural appearance to the beach area with some mild sand dunes and natural flora remaining; daybeds abound and are cordoned off from the rest of the beach so there is plenty of space for walking or playing on the beach.
How About This For a Rooftop Suite?
I have mixed feelings about rooftop suites. On one hand, they can be such a great way to get a bird’s eye view of the resort as well as an increased possibility of getting an ocean view even though one hasn’t booked something oceanfront. On the other hand, I would hesitate booking a rooftop suite during the height of summer because of the need to limit daytime use of the space–rooftop suites, unless they have great shade built into the rooftop area, can be incredibly hot during Mexico summers.
Ever Visit Selvatica?
Looking for an alternative adventure park to visit in the Riviera Maya? Check out Selvatica which is located along Ruta de los Cenotes just north of Puerto Morelos.
New Video Of Breathless Cancun Soul!!
At last, I was wondering if anyone who had camera/video access was staying at the brand new Breathless Cancun Soul in Cancun’s Hotel Zone! Here’s a new video to enjoy; it has lots of specific info about the resort and what to expect when you get there.
Where Are The Water Features?
I’m trying to finish my book on all-inclusive resorts by compiling various lists of resort amenities for easy reference–can you help a gal out and see if I’ve covered the resorts with water features???
Should I Upgrade My Resort Experience?
If you’ve decided to stay at an all-inclusive resort, the next decision to be made for booking purposes concerns whether or not to upgrade your resort experience. Many all-inclusive resorts offer upgrades these days–the terms “Premium”, “Preferred Club”, “Privilege Club”, “Elegance Club”, “Excellence Club”, etc., typically connote the opportunity to purchase more amenities and services. The question is, is it worth it?
