Ever Visit Selvatica?

Looking for an alternative adventure park to visit in the Riviera Maya?  Check out Selvatica which is located along Ruta de los Cenotes just north of Puerto Morelos.

Selvatica has a lot to offer vacationers:

  • 10-circuit zipline
  • Tarzania–like a zipline with a roller coaster twist
  • Superflight–a zipline which has you hanging suspended perpendicular to the ground like you are flying…
  • Bungee Swing–not your typical bungee experience because it’s not a total freefall, you jump off a platform attached to a very long cord which swings you back and forth.
  • 4X4 Offroad–enjoy a bumpy and muddy drive/ride on a Polaris ATV.
  • If you only do the ATV, there is a separate tour which includes making guacamole and having a tequila drink.  I imagine the drinking occurs after most of the driving has been done…
  • Cenote Swim–self-explanatory.  A great way to get the grime and sweat off after a day of fun!  There are platforms from which to jump into the cenote as well as a short quasi-zipline from which to jump into the cenote if you want.

There are four different tours–Gimme All (everything the park has to offer), Offroad (includes the zipline circuit, Tarzania, and the ATV drive), Mud Madness and Mixology (ATV’ing, swimming in two cenotes, along with making a snack and having some tequila), and Extreme Canopy (zipline circuit, Tarzania, and swimming in two cenotes).  Tour prices start at $199 USD p/adult for 6.5 hrs. of fun with the Gimme All package; right now you can purchase this package online for only $139, so watch the website for deals.

You cannot just show up at the park and buy a ticket, tour start times are mandatory.  For example, for the all-day Gimme All tour you’d have to be at the park by 8:45 a.m.  While transportation to/from the park can be purchased at an additional cost, you can also arrange for a taxi driver to pick you up at a designated time for an additional cost (have a chat with the staff at your resort entrance who are in charge of taxis to arrange such a deal).  Or, you can also hire a private driver to do the same. (If you need the individual name/company name of a private driver just let me know in the comments below or shoot me an email at allinclusivegal@gmail.com).
