While this blog is dedicated to all-inclusive resorts in Cancun and the Riviera Maya, I thought it couldn’t hurt to post a brief picture gallery of my recent stay at the Hard Rock Los Cabos, an all-inclusive resort located in Cabo San Lucas on Mexico’s Baja Peninsula.
I read an interesting National Geographic article which discussed the potential fate of sea turtles due to climate change. In the article, NG sites a dramatic rise in female sea turtle populations around the world including the Caribbean, San Diego, and Australia. Since sand heat ultimately determines sea turtle gender, many sea turtles are being born female due to rising world temperatures (sand gets hotter, more female turtles are born).

The Palace Resorts brand has been around for quite some time and has always been synonymous with attentive guest service and good food. Families looking for a great resort close to the action of Cancun should check out Beach Palace, part of the Palace Resorts chain of properties–check the website for “Kids Stay Free” promotions . Palace Resorts still offers “resort credits” towards specific items such as tours, spa treatments, golf, and private dinners on the beach. Guests receive $1500 worth of such credits by staying 5-8 nights; longer stays results in additional credits being awarded. (Be aware that guests who use their credits will be charged a 16% service fee towards the item–for example, if a private dinner is typically $100 and a guest chooses to use their credits to “pay” for this amenity, the guest would be charged 16% of the total amount of the service).
I have a much-traveled history and have used multiple sources to book my trips. Resort websites, travel agents, airline vacation package offers, and wholesalers have all been used for various vacations with varying results. I realize that most people want to save money when traveling and therefore opt to book online with vacation wholesalers. But there are pros and cons to each choice when booking your trip–let’s explore what’s at stake when you book each one.

2019-2020 has been and promises to be stellar years for new resorts in Cancun and the Riviera Maya–there are so many I have lost count. Add a new one to the list, the Senator Riviera Cancun Spa Resort located in Puerto Morelos. The only reason I found this one is because it is located next to the new Now Natura Riviera Cancun which I will be visiting in February,visitors walking the beach keep posting pics of the Senator thinking it’s Now Natura. This resort is scheduled to open April 13, 2020.

For those readers curious about the brand new adults-only Barcelo resort, a new drone video has been posted on YouTube. In a place where I can easily access the beach. Well, I’ve found another resort which meets my criteria–Excellence Riviera Cancun in the Riviera Maya.
