Resorts With Children’s Spa Services…

Did you know that some family-friendly all-inclusive resorts offer a children’s spa menu???  Since I no longer travel with small children (both of mine are grown) and I’m not a spa person, I haven’t paid much attention to the matter.  Now that I have a grandson I am becoming more aware of what resorts in general offer children.  Offering a children’s spa menu was an eye opener for myself, but it could be something families may want to experience and make it a family vacation activity…wellness isn’t merely delegated to being vegan or visiting doctors anymore.

Resorts Where You Are More Likely To See Monkeys…

Some travelers are merely lucky enough to see and/or encounter monkeys while on vacation; others plan their vacation with seeing monkeys in mind as one of their primary reasons for staying at particular areas or resorts.

New Riu Palace Kukulkan Taking Bookings Plus Riu Offers Elite Club

Those interested in the brand new Riu Palace Kukulkan in Cancun’s Hotel Zone will be happy to know you can book a room for as low as $145 p/person p/night USD for fall/winter travel (I believe you have to book a minimum of three nights).  I’ve already booked a new room category for March 2023, Jr. Suite Ocean View Elite Club, for my extended Quintana Roo spring vacay and was able to save an additional $200 USD by booking via the loyalty membership Riu Class on the resort’s website.  It is free to sign up!  You can choose how to pay if you book via the resort’s website–pay at the time of booking, pay at the hotel, etc.

Don’t Forget About This Great Suite…

I’ve been to Riu Palace Las Americas  twice (pre and post renovations); it’s a fabulous four star adults-only resort for the price–you get a lot of bang for your buck where vacation dollars are concerned when you book with Riu.  (If you are interested in reading my most recent resort review post-renovations, just click here).

Is There Any Secret To Getting A Room Upgrade?

The title to this blog post is rather misleading since there obviously is no secret to getting a room upgrade.  If there were, we would all eventually be in on the secret and all get our dream room for a fraction of what we would normally pay.

Resort Baby Club Summary…

After quite a bit of time spent scouring resort Kid’s Club offerings, here’s a summary of which Cancun/Riviera Maya all-inclusive resorts cater to babies.  That doesn’t mean this is an exhaustive list by any means, but it is a good place to start if you want to travel to this area of Mexico with a very young one.  I have written a separate blog post about each one of these resorts and their baby-friendly amenities, so check out those older blog posts if you are interested.

Best Water Park in Cancun…

All of these constant oven-like temperatures at my home in southern CA have me thinking of water parks; more specifically, water parks in Cancun and the Riviera Maya since I view that area as my second home, lol.  (One of my friends recently asked me why I don’t just buy a condo there…of course, a condo doesn’t cook for me, pour me a drink, clean up automatically after me, or make my bed so I much prefer staying at an all-inclusive resort…)   While there may  be more upscale water parks in the area (think Jungala at Vidanta resort in the Riviera Maya), there is one very large amusement park south of the Hotel Zone in Cancun called Ventura Park which offers much more than pools and waterslides.

Royal Uno Cancun Beachfront Suite

The Royal Uno Cancun just opened this summer but there have been few posted videos highlighting the accommodations.  I found one which shows one of the suites I have been particularly interested in, the Beachfront Suite With Plunge Pool.  It’s actually a one-bedroom Master Suite with a separate bedroom, two Murphy beds in the living room, and a very large terrace with its own small pool (it looks like a separate Jacuzzi is part of the pool) with several full loungers and a hammock with an unobstructed ocean view.  Very nice; perfect for families with two children.
