New Rooftop Suite Review–The Beachfront Casita at Blue Diamond Luxury Boutique Hotel

I don’t encounter much exposure of Blue Diamond Luxury Boutique Hotel on social media.  Maybe I’m not looking in the right places; maybe I’m not paying enough attention…Regardless, here’s a suite category with a rooftop terrace that will blow. your. mind.

I’ve posted about this suite category before, but it requires another post because I think it’s one of the most beautiful rooftop suites I’ve ever seen.  It’s the Beachfront Casita at Blue Diamond, I believe it starts at $1,380 USD p/night.  The suite is beachfront with the following amenities:

  • private beach access
  • rooftop terrace with private plunge pool with ocean view
  • rooftop terrace has a padded double lounger and two padded regular loungers plus a shade umbrella (score!).  I’m sure the umbrella could be moved so that one could have shade while using the double lounger…
  • marble tub
  • large walk-in closet with full length mirror… it’s so large that the resort calls it a “dressing room”
  • in-room liquor
  • upgraded mini-bar
  • complimentary bottle of Moet
  • complimentary bottle of red wine
  • large shower with double rainforest showerheads
  • large ground floor terrace with table and chairs that have an ocean view
  • bicycles are included in every suite category; this resort is more narrow and lengthy so it can be a trek back up to some of the restaurants and lobby area.

No suite is perfect.  The two major drawbacks I can see with this suite category would be no privacy from either terrace, and the possibility of your rooftop ocean view being hampered by the growing coconut trees on the beach.  Also, keep in mind that this particular stretch of beach is not as nice as others in the Riviera Maya.  I think I could find that an acceptable tradeoff if I stayed in this suite…

Here’s the video.  I have to admit, I do not like the three camera factor utilized in this video.  However, the last video I can find of this suite category is grainy and made 8 yrs. ago.  So, try and enjoy the beauty of the suite despite the distractions….

What do you think?  Would you stay here?
