I’ve decided to do a series on rooftop suites in all-inclusive resorts in Cancun and the Riviera Maya.  While my personal favorite is a good swim-up suite, rooftop suites are a great alternative to having an awesome vacation with a guaranteed bird’s eye view.

Last week I wrote a blog post about the Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres two-story rooftop suite in the adults-only Elegance Club section.  Today I’m going to focus on the same resort but on the two-story rooftop suite in the family-friendly section.

While there is a plunge pool on the rooftop edge in the adults-only rooftop suite, it only makes sense how that would not work for families bringing their children to this resort staying in this type of room category.  Instead, the Sky View Suite has a small Jacuzzi set back from the rooftop edge, a padded double daybed, a love seat, and an armchair.  Like the other two-story rooftop suite category, there is no overhead shade structure so again I would hesitate to book this room category over the hot summer months–the ability to use it during the day would certainly be limited.
