For full disclosure, I have not yet stayed at Hilton Cancun. However, I have read a lot of positive reviews about the property and have been wondering what the secret is of its popularity since on the surface it looks and acts like so many other all-inclusive resorts I actually have booked.
Here’s a video done by Light Baggage which highlights some of the more popular family resorts in Cancun and the Riviera Maya. There are certainly a lot more than this video listing, but it’s a start for those looking for all-inclusive resort ideas.
If you’re still looking to book a family-friendly all-inclusive resort this summer with a lot to offer its guests, look no further than Iberostar Selection Paraiso Maya Suites. The Selection Paraiso Maya is part of a mega-resort complex consisting of the adults-only Iberostar Grand Paraiso, the Selection Paraiso Maya Suites, the Selection Paraiso Lindo, the Paraiso Beach, and the Paraiso del Mar resorts. Guests of the Selection Paraiso Maya have access to all amenities at the lesser resorts; the only resort guests cannot access is the adults-only Grand Paraiso.

Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Cancun is Karisma’s first partnership with the Jimmy Buffett hotel brand–I believe it is the very first Jimmy Buffett all-inclusive resort anywhere. This resort used to be known as Azul Beach Resort (Azul is Karisma’s family-friendly resort brand name); the resort reopened after a huge renovation but unfortunately it reopened right before the pandemic hit. It has been a slow start for them, but it looks like they are finally settling into their resort “groove”.

This Nickelodeon resort just opened Aug. 1, 2021; it is located next to Generations Riviera Maya north of Playa del Carmen. While there still isn’t much out there as far as videos of the resort, I did find this one which highlights the water park and what appears to be a Swim-Up Oceanfront King Suite.
I actually wanted to find a video of how the new resorts are doing which are planning on opening within the next month, but as is typical of this area and new resort info there is not much out there–it’s like resort companies believe they are selling state secrets by giving away some teaser info.
