Baby Club at Grand Palladium Riviera Maya

As part of my new series I will periodically highlight a resort which caters to very young children.  This post will focus on the facilities available for babies at the Grand Palladium Riviera Maya mega-resort.

Out of all the hundreds of all-inclusive resorts in this part of Mexico there are not many which have amenities for babies.  Those numbers shrink even further when trying to find one where parents can drop off their babies for an hour or two just to have some alone or quiet time.  I found one!!  Check out the Baby Club at the Colonial resort within this Grand Palladium complex.  The Baby Club is for children ages 1-3 and is open 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., then again from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.  (The Baby Club is closed from 1-2 p.m. so that this age group can have lunch with their parents). The Baby Club is a separate building but still part of the El Ranchito Kid’s Club which is available for kids ages 4-12.  Here are some of the amenities available at the Baby Club:

  • parents can drop off their babies/toddlers but must supply diapers and formula.  Parents can also choose to stay with their baby at the Baby Club and enjoy the amenities together.
  • parents are given a walkie-talkie if they choose to drop off their baby so that staff can notify them if there is a problem.  Parents must stay on the resort property during the time their baby is at the Baby Club.
  • separate indoor and outdoor play areas
  • ball pond, soft play area with mats and large soft blocks, rocking horses, and numerous toys for very young children are available
  • the Baby Club offers Pack ‘n Play cribs for napping

Well, what do you think?  Would you feel safe about dropping your baby off or would you stay and play?

  1. Thank you for this information!

I’m not sure if I would leave my kiddos with the club, only because they are little rascals 😂

Do you know if guests staying at the Kantenah have access to the kids club on the Colonial side?

Also, will they lend us a pack n play for the duration of our trip?

    Thanks!!

    • Sabrina: My understanding is that there is only one main kid’s club area and that is by the kids water park at the Colonial. The only resort I know of (at least as of the moment since I am just starting to research baby amenities at resorts in any detail) that lends out a LOT of baby amenities is Azul Beach Riviera Cancun. They lend out strollers, cribs, baby bottle warmers, etc. I’m sure your little “rascals” are no different than other kids, I’m sure they’ve experienced it all before. Here’s the link to the Azul resort https://www.karismahotels.com/azul-beach-resorts/riviera-cancun/gourmet-inclusive/toddler-inclusive
