Dreams Puerto Aventuras Has Reopened!

After months of being totally closed for a complete renovation, Dreams Puerto Aventuras has reopened with lots of changes. Here are some of the renovations you will experience:

  • All guest rooms have been redone
  • addition of 38 brand new swim-out suites; there are some on both oceanfront and marina side.  Families with children under 13 staying in a swim-out suite will have to sign a waiver, but it is good news for those wanting a swim-out suite experience while having younger children with them on vacation
  • lobby has been completely redesigned (light colors) with a new check-in experience (guests will be seated while checking in making for a more personal welcome to the resort)
  • all pools have been retiled and surrounding pool areas have been updated
  • while this is a family-friendly property, the marina-facing adults-only pool has remained but has been retiled
  • Kids and Teen Clubs have been totally redone with new furniture and equipment.  Keep in mind that the Kids Club here can watch your children until 10 p.m.
  • addition of a Splash Zone with lots of water fun for kids
  • wedding venue enhancements plus the addition of a new venue on top of Seaside Grill
  • renovation of Coco Cafe with the addition of gelato ice cream station–if it’s anything like Dreams Natura it will be a separate freezer with a see-through top
  • renovation of Preferred Club lounge and bar
  • all restaurants have a new look
  • addition of a bridal suite to the spa along with a complete spa redo
  • new indoor/outdoor fitness center
  • the renovation was delayed one month due to the addition of a new pier and breakwater meant to cut down on incoming sargassum
  • exterior look has been updated as well

Sounds like a very thorough renovation!  Do you have any plans on checking this resort out?  It sounds almost like a brand new resort experience…

    • I’m on the lookout. Christine Turner has YouTube videos of various resorts; she’s actually done a series on proposed renovations at this resort. She is planning on interviewing an on-site sales rep showing real time photos of areas here but there is no scheduled date yet for this.

  1. Does this one have a nice beach? I’m looking for a new or newly renovated all-inclusive with a great swimmable beach for my family with two teenagers. Can you help?

    • This renovated Dreams resort has encircled most of the “bay” with rocks, so the water is calmer, plus they hope that this dramatically reduces the amount of sargassum which tends to plague resorts in the summer. I’ve seen kayaks also in the water, so there will be water sports available as well. As far as things to do for teens, there is the Core Zone (ages 13-17) which offers video games, foosball, and pool tables. It is open 2-10 p.m. There are also 2 new water slides, so there should be enough for teens to do. It all depends on whether a calm “bay” instead of waves would be exciting enough for the family.

    • They still do beach and water volleyball. Since there are still staff activity members I would assume there are still pool games that go on.
