What’s The Deal With Hilton Cancun’s Popularity?

For full disclosure, I have not yet stayed at Hilton Cancun.  However, I have read a lot of positive reviews about the property and have been wondering what the secret is of its popularity since on the surface it looks and acts like so many other all-inclusive resorts I actually have booked.

Interested in Hotel Xcaret Mexico’s Newest Resort Section?

I’ve stayed at both Hotel Xcaret Mexico and Hotel Xcaret Arte and believe me they are among the best of the best when it comes to all-inclusive resort choices in Cancun and the Riviera Maya.  Hotel Xcaret Mexico just underwent a $700 million renovation and made the resort twice as large as it was with lots of new amenities for families (the Arte property is ages 16+ while the Mexico property is family-friendly).

Looking For An Akumal Bay Webcam?

I haven’t posted for awhile because I was in Mammoth CA at a music festival for several days…I was planning on writing this post when I got home but I was delayed with a flat tire incident which put me in the middle of the freaking Mojave Desert driving 45 mph with a donut tire in 104 degree heat trying to find a tire store open on a Sunday in the middle of the desert.  Needless to say it’s a rather long story but it had a good ending.  But life is about experiencing adventures, I just don’t want a repeat of this type of adventure, thank you.

Stay Tuned For New Resort Reviews…

Got back from my latest Mexico vacay last night and it’s off to work today–seeing 8 clients in a row without any breaks is a tough way to get back to reality from a wonderful vacation but it is what it is.  While I have been extremely negligent in posting more recent resort reviews (I still haven’t gotten around to posting my SLS Playa Mujeres and Riu Caribe resort reviews from January and now add to that Iberostar Selection Paraiso Maya Suites and JOIA Paraiso), I promise this will change within the next 2 weeks.

And My Next Mexico Vacation Will Be At…

Yesterday I posted that I will be vacationing at Iberostar Selection Paraiso Maya Suites for the first part of my stay.  The second resort is just “next door” at the beautiful JOIA Paraiso by Iberostar, an adults-only luxury property–I will only have to take a golf cart from one lobby to another which makes it super easy to start the next segment of my vacation!

And My Next Mexico Vacation Will Be At….

I am going on vacation in a few days!  And to my favorite place–where else, Mexico.  Namely, staying in the Riviera Maya at two resorts which are part of the same Iberostar megaresort complex at Playa Paraiso.  I will be traveling with a family member I haven’t traveled with before so I am excited about a new experience.

If You Are Looking For A Vegan and Wellness Resort…

Many vacationers who love all-inclusive resorts go for the opportunity to eat and drink with impunity (or perceived impunity until your clothes feel a bit more snug when you get back home).  Most resorts in Mexico will gladly give you your fill of burgers, tacos, pizza, etc., but what if you want something different?  What if you want to skip the fast food options to save time from cooking after a hard day’s work?  What if you want to reconnect with yourself instead of spending your vacation in the more mindless fashion of eat, drink, pool and beach time, drink some more, and repeat?
