For those who don’t mind staying in an adults-only section at a family-friendly all-inclusive resort, check out the Adult Scene section at the new Planet Hollywood Cancun. This PH resort opened earlier this year and offers so many amenities around the entire property…lazy river, water park, FlowRider, grotto bar, trampolines, multiple pools including a separate pool at the Adults Scene section, sports bar, 12 restaurants at no extra cost–two of which are at the Adult Scene section, and a way to upgrade within the Adult Scene upgrade (Adult Scene guests can upgrade to Star Class; Adult Scene guests who upgrade to Star Class have full access to everything on the property with the exception of timeshare/vacation club member benefits/amenities).

Don’t Forget Club Med…
I think that some travelers forget there is a Club Med in Cancun. Especially with all the new and renovated resorts with their “bells and whistles” , older and more established resorts like the Club Med chain may pale in comparison and become lower on travel wish lists.
Maroma Beach is the Treatment of Choice For Beach Withdrawal…
Attention travelers, if you have an acute case of beach withdrawal like I do right now, there is a cure–well, at least a temporary one. Fly to Cancun and visit Maroma Beach in the Riviera Maya, it’s only about a 40-min. drive south of the Cancun airport. Maroma Beach has won accolades from various travel media sources–the Travel Channel thought it noteworthy enough to put it within the top 10 spot in the World’s Best Beaches category several years running.
A Closer Look at Aqua Nick Water Park…

Interested in Resort Walkthrough Videos?
If you are one of those armchair travelers who enjoy a great walkthrough video to get an idea of what being at a specific resort is like, I have discovered a source where you can get your fill.
Interested in the Food and Drinks at Hyatt Ziva Riviera Cancun?
One of the things I’ve found to be outstanding about the rebranded Hyatt Ziva Riviera Cancun is the number of food and drink options available. There are at least seven restaurants serving a variety of meals (some serve a more buffet style breakfast and lunch while serving a la carte dinners with a specific theme), four various smaller food “shops” serving a small number of specific food options, and some bars which serve both drinks and snacks. There are also “pop-up” food stations as well.
It’s a “5 O’Clock Somewhere” State of Mind at Margaritaville Island Reserve
Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Cancun is Karisma’s first partnership with the Jimmy Buffett hotel brand–I believe it is the very first Jimmy Buffett all-inclusive resort anywhere. This resort used to be known as Azul Beach Resort (Azul is Karisma’s family-friendly resort brand name); the resort reopened after a huge renovation but unfortunately it reopened right before the pandemic hit. It has been a slow start for them, but it looks like they are finally settling into their resort “groove”.
New Video of Oceanfront Suite at Hyatt Ziva Riviera Cancun
Interested in the renovation of what used to be known as Secrets Silversand? Here’s a new video by Christine Turner of an Oceanfront Suite (looks like a Jr. Suite) at the rebranded Hyatt Ziva Riviera Cancun.
Wanna See Some Highlights of the New Nickelodeon Resort?
Take a quick look at a video highlighting several areas of the new Nickelodeon resort including the Lair Suite–the suite looks very nice with lots of room and a large swim-up pool.
Have A Look at the New Nickelodeon Resort
This Nickelodeon resort just opened Aug. 1, 2021; it is located next to Generations Riviera Maya north of Playa del Carmen. While there still isn’t much out there as far as videos of the resort, I did find this one which highlights the water park and what appears to be a Swim-Up Oceanfront King Suite.
