Take a quick look at a video highlighting several areas of the new Nickelodeon resort including the Lair Suite–the suite looks very nice with lots of room and a large swim-up pool.

Have A Look at the New Nickelodeon Resort
This Nickelodeon resort just opened Aug. 1, 2021; it is located next to Generations Riviera Maya north of Playa del Carmen. While there still isn’t much out there as far as videos of the resort, I did find this one which highlights the water park and what appears to be a Swim-Up Oceanfront King Suite.
New Room Video–Catalonia Royal Tulum Privileged Deluxe Amenities
During my most recent Mexico trip, I stayed at both TRS Yucatan and Catalonia Royal Tulum. While I have already posted my room video from TRS Yucatan, here’s the room video from the adults-only all-inclusive resort I stayed at when I first arrived in Mexico–CRT, as it is often called.
New Video of Jr. Suite at TRS Yucatan
If anyone is interested in a video of my room category at TRS Yucatan, here’s a look at the great Jr. Suite Private Pool Garden View I had at this resort. I would definitely recommend it, there is plenty of space for two individuals with the added plus of your own small pool to enjoy with all the hot weather there is during the summer months in this part of Mexico.
Planet Hollywood Cancun Finally Open–Take a Look at a Swimout Suite
Planet Hollywood Cancun has finally opened, but it looks like it’s off to a slow start. There appears to be only one a la carte open (probably due to low occupancy), in-room liquor dispensers are empty, beers don’t appear to be in the mini-fridges yet (see video below), while I read that the spa, convention center, and one a la carte restaurant are still being finished.
Dreams Riviera Cancun Governor’s Suite Video
I recently stayed at Dreams Riviera Cancun resort located just outside of Puerto Morelos in the Riviera Maya (resort review yet to follow). There’s not much out there showing the actual suite’s amenities, so I made a video of the room for those interested in this room category.
PC Jr. Suite OV at Dreams Natura–It’s Video Time!
Interested in what the rooms are like at the relatively new Dreams Natura? Here’s a video I made of an upgraded Jr. Suite with an ocean view. Balcony Jacuzzis at this resort signal a room upgrade.
Atelier Playa Mujeres Jr. Suite Swim-Out Video
It’s about time, I finally got around to uploading my last resort video to YouTube and here it is. This was my Inspira Jr. Suite Swim-Out at Atelier Playa Mujeres during my stay in August 2020 during COVID. Upgraded Inspira suites are located near the lobby, but it’s not that big of a deal to walk down to the pool area and beach using the wooden walkway which meanders through the grounds and flora.
Select Club Penthouse at Sandos Caracol–A Suite Review
My last blog post was about the spider monkeys at Sandos Caracol, so I decided to do a suite review of the resort as well. Sandos Caracol is a well-regarded eco-resort located just north of Playa del Carmen in the Riviera Maya. It has close to 1,000 guest rooms and is very spread out, so be prepared to walk. The good thing about its size is that guests get to experience nature since only 30% of the resort property has been developed–this factor results in frequent spider monkey sightings since parts of the resort are situated in the middle of the surrounding jungle and mangrove sections. Animals also seen on the grounds include agoutis, the ever popular coatis (watch it, they will steal your food if you’re not careful), and let’s not forget the local cats (strays here have access to food, water, shelter, and veterinary care since Sandos works with Coco’s Animal Welfare). The resort has a Mini-Farm (a small on-site petting zoo) with donkeys, chickens, and rabbits, but personally I’d much rather seek out the chance encounter with monkeys.
Oceanfront Suite at Barcelo Maya Palace–A Suite Review
Barcelo Maya Palace is just one resort out of six in the mega-resort complex of Barcelo Maya Grand Originally, it was Barcelo’s premiere resort offering in Cancun and the Riviera Maya for many years. It continues to offer excellent food, attentive and friendly customer service, snorkeling for sea turtles right off the beach, a great kid’s water park, and one of the most massive main pools I’ve ever seen at a resort. Guests of the Palace have access to four of the remaining five resorts (the Beach, Caribe, Colonial, and the Tropical); the only resort Palace guests do not have access to is the brand new adults-only Maya Riviera at the other end of the complex. The Palace is not as close to the other resorts as one would think–take the resort shuttle or walk the beachfront walkway to other resort destinations. Taking the beachfront path makes a very relaxing stroll during the evening, especially if the moon is out with the sounds of the waves in the background.
