Looking forward to enjoying this new Secrets resort? I know I am; I will be enjoying all of its amenities this December. Secrets Tulum Resort and Beach Club is scheduled to open Oct. 12, 2023 and so far there is no hint of any delay.
The last post I did on Royalton Splash Riviera Riviera Cancun showed that the waterslides were not completed. However, since then a majority of these slide are now fully functional and look like a lot of fun for resort guests! I think there is only one green and white one which doesn’t look put together yet, but the rest are going strong.
If you’ve already decided to book Beloved Playa Mujeres, then you already know you will be staying at one of the best luxury boutique couples only all-inclusive resorts in this part of Mexico. The question then becomes not where to stay, but which room to book…This may be a difficult decision since the Beloved offers 11 different room categories. That’s a lot for any property. For those who do not already know, the luxury Mayakoba complex in the Riviera Maya consists of several well-regarded resorts–the Andaz, Banyan Tree, Rosewood, and the Fairmont. I got a call from Secrets this morning saying my Dec. reservation for the brand new Secrets Playa Blanca Costa Mujeres had been cancelled due to a delay in the resort opening.
While Kore Tulum Retreat And Spa Resort has undergone an “identity crisis” within the past 5-10 years, it looks like it’s finally on the right path as an adults-only all-inclusive optional boutique resort. With only 91 guest rooms and suites, this resort is actually located within the Tulum area making it incredibly easy to explore the art museums, stores, and beach clubs which have made this town a “must see” when visiting the Riviera Maya area. Kore Tulum provides complimentary bicycle use as well as bicycle tours of various nearby attractions, including downtown Tulum, which takes out all of the guess work or advance research guests may choose to do in order to maximize their time away from the resort.
Ok, I will admit it, like so many other international tourists I have not been paying Quintana Roo’s VISITAX fee since it was established in 2020. Up to this point there has been no enforcement of paying this tax, so I figured I could get away with not paying it.
