Kore Tulum–A Boutique Resort Often Overlooked

While Kore Tulum Retreat And Spa Resort has undergone an “identity crisis” within the past 5-10 years, it looks like it’s finally on the right path as an adults-only all-inclusive optional boutique resort.  With only 91 guest rooms and suites, this resort is actually located within the Tulum area making it incredibly easy to explore the art museums, stores, and beach clubs which have made this town a “must see” when visiting the Riviera Maya area.  Kore Tulum provides complimentary bicycle use as well as bicycle tours of various nearby attractions, including downtown Tulum, which takes out all of the guess work or advance research guests may choose to do in order to maximize their time away from the resort.

Keep in mind this is a boutique resort and therefore has more limited amenities.  There are only two restaurants and two bars (yes, they DO have a swim-up bar here), plus there is no sandy beach on-site.  Guests must take the resort’s shuttle to the nearby El Paraiso Beach Club–lounger rental for resort guests is free and you get 10% off the menu, so it’s an extra cost to eat and drink there even if you have booked the all-inclusive package at the resort.

A couple of other things to note about this resort–it has its own shaman who can perform cleansing and Temazcal ceremonies/rituals for guests, so if you are into experiencing some Mexican culture as a part of your wellness goals, you can receive that here.  Also, the resort offers the usual “classes” like Zumba, yoga, etc., but it also offers a carving class.  Very unusual!  This resort also offers deals for those attendees of Jan. 2024 Tulum techno music festivals such as Tomorrowland and Afterlife.  Those deals are not all-inclusive, however, but they do include breakfast and two bottles of water a day.  This makes it very easy for festival attendees to have a nice place to stay while enjoying music nearby at festival locations in the Tulum area.
