No more delays, Secrets Impression Moxche has opened. Here’s a video of this new upgraded section taken about 3 weeks ago while still being completed…it looks gorgeous! What do you think? Would you stay here?
Looks like the rebranded, fully renovated Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya is going to be open for business Dec. 1, 2022. (This resort used to be Secrets Capri). I found this video which was livestreamed recently by a Playa rep; it gives you lots of detail about the resort.
If you are following the upcoming opening of the fully renovated Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya, formerly known as Secrets Capri, here is a video about just the main pool area. If you remember what the pool was like when it was a Secrets resort, the main complaint was one of slipping when entering the pool. Hopefully that has been resolved; it looks like the pool was completely redone so I am guessing it’s a thumbs up for pool entry this time around.
Travel agents can be remarkably resourceful…a prime example would be agents/owners from Lone Star Travel who were allowed to be on-site at the new Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya (formerly known as Secrets Capri). It is still adults-only but has undergone a complete remodel with some new additions as well–think oceanfront swim-outs, for example. Lone Star Travel reps took videos from several areas of the resort including a guest room category, King Jr. Suite Tropical View.
Here’s the response I received from the reservations department at Haven Riviera Cancun when inquiring how to ensure a confirmed booking at the new Serenity Club section.

The fully renovated Royal Uno, which used to be the Royal Caribbean, is supposed to open tomorrow on June 28, 2022. If I’m not mistaken I believe the resort is near the Omni Cancun and the Cancun museum in the southern part of the Hotel Zone.
Another new resort opening I overlooked…The new Ventus Ha’ is a luxury hotel located in the midst of the mangroves right behind Ventus at Marina El Cid, while Ventus at Marina El Cid was added as an adjoining sister resort to Marina El Cid in 2017. The new Ventus Ha’ opened November 2021. All three are family-friendly; if you stay at the new Ventus Ha’ you have access to three resorts–stay at one play at three.
I keep seeing on my blog stats that readers still want to know what’s going on with the ex-ME Cancun/ex-Melody Maker resort in Cancun’s Hotel Zone…the answer is that I do not know what’s going on with the much anticipated opening of this resort as the Armar House which is now owned by Marriott.
