It’s the first time I’ve seen a definitive opening date for Armar House Cancun (formerly Melody Maker/formerly ME Cancun by Melia). Hotels.com has the opening date listed as Sept. 22, 2022; even the website says “opening soon”, so make your own decision about whether to book if you are interested in this resort.

Another Secrets Impression on Isla Mujeres???
Sometimes I wish I worked at a travel agency and was “in the know” about all things travel. (Well, I did work at a travel agency in my other much younger life but that was AAA in the auto travel dept., and that doesn’t necessarily equate to knowing all things travel…but I CAN say I still know how to read a map upside down as well as all direct and scenic routes from point A to point B in the US and Canada…lol). I find some of the info I blog about just by being curious and researching the subject matter which leads me to this current blog post–did you know there is another Secrets Impression being built but it is on the island of Isla Mujeres off the coast of Cancun’s Hotel Zone???!! When I found the video on YouTube about this resort I thought it was an error and that they really meant Secrets Impression Moxche–until I Googled it and found out this Secrets Impression on Isla Mujeres is scheduled to open Dec. 1, 2022.
Baby Club at Grand Palladium Riviera Maya
As part of my new series I will periodically highlight a resort which caters to very young children. This post will focus on the facilities available for babies at the Grand Palladium Riviera Maya mega-resort.
La Casa de la Playa Update
I almost forgot about this brand new all-inclusive luxury resort which recently opened…La Casa de la Playa is the newest Hoteles Xcaret resort to open just south of Playa del Carmen. La Casa’s sister resorts, Hotel Xcaret Mexico and Hotel Xcaret Arte, are just south so they are grouped together. This is a boutique resort with only 63 suites and the most expensive one of the existing resorts; I priced an ocean view suite for two for an October stay and the suite category was $1,830 USD p/night…you do the math in terms of what the length of your vacation would cost. A definite perk for resort guests is that they are allowed to visit both sister resorts, but no one else is allowed on the property so the amenities here would not get overwhelmed and too busy or noisy.
Secret Dessert at VIM’s Taman Sari?
For those vacationers who think they know everything about Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya, have you ever heard of the “Secret Box” dessert at Taman Sari? I just ran across this info while watching some YouTube resort videos. It’s NOT on the menu, so I assume it’s only for those who are “in the know” about this resort…
A Quick View of the Emerald Jr. Suite at VIM…
Sometimes I just need a quick view of something travel-related which helps me be more mentally prepared for a difficult work week. Watching this short video of the Emerald Jr. Suite at Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya did the trick. Maybe it will help you too. Now, on to work…
Preference Between Hyatt Ziva Cancun and Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach?
I found this YouTube video by Palm Leaf Travel to be interesting and informative in comparing two popular Hotel Zone all-inclusive properties which are family-friendly–Hyatt Ziva Cancun and Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach Cancun. Both are located at the northeast corner of the “7” (Cancun’s Hotel Zone is literally shaped like the number 7) at Punta Cancun.

Hilton Tulum Kid’s Section Open July 15
For those of you interested in the brand new Hilton Tulum all-inclusive resort, take a quick look at this very brief video that gives everyone a sneak peak of what the outdoor area looks like at the kid’s play area of this resort. It seems this resort is opening in sections–I already did a general blog post about it so you can read and see general info on the resort. This new section just opened.
New Series–Baby and Kid-Friendly Resorts in Cancun and the Riviera Maya
Now that I’m a first time grandma I realize I might have to switch my resort emphasis for awhile and highlight the options for those families who might want to travel with infants and very young children. I will focus on one resort at a time (starting with those who cater to infants) and eventually do a master list for easy reference.
