There was a fire at The Beloved Playa Mujeres resort located north of downtown Cancun.  The fire occurred in the maintenance room on Wednesday; while no guests were affected, there was one death due to smoke inhalation and one case of burn injuries to resort employees.  Two additional employees were transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.
