Palladium Rebrands The Royal Suites
Palladium Hotels and Resorts has renamed The Royal Suites Yucatan by Palladium; it will be called TRS Yucatan Hotel by Palladium. The rebranding will involve guest room renovations, guest rooms with a private pool, the addition of an infinity pool and Ibiza-style beach club, and new dining venues. Additional staff will be hired in order to provide a higher level of customer service. This part of the Palladium resort complex will remain adults-only.
Follow-Up to Iberostar Quetzal Fire
Just a note, Iberostar has confirmed on Twitter that the entire resort is scheduled to reopen for guests on Dec. 11, 2015. It may open on the 10th, but officially they are taking bookings for the 11th. Right now the Tucan and Quetzal sides are both closed due to the fire which occurred the other day–the damage was greater than originally thought with both main buffets, the spa, the bar area, and several nearby guest room buildings affected by the smoke and flame.
Generations Maroma Closing
Generations Maroma is in the process of transferring all of its amenities to its sister resort and adjacent property, El Dorado Maroma. According to its parent company, Karisma Hotels and Resorts, Generations Maroma is adding its suites, Chakay restaurant, and bars to the pre-existing El Dorado Maroma property due to the “overwhelming demand of El Dorado Maroma”. Generations Riviera Maya, a family-friendly resort success, will absorb the bookings meant for Generations Maroma.
