If I anticipate a difficult work day or am having one of those long work weeks, I often like to start my day with some quick armchair travel. Here’s a view of the most exclusive suite at one of my favorite Cancun all-inclusive resorts, Live Aqua Beach Resort Cancun. While I’ve stayed there twice, I’ve never stayed in the Presidential Suite–one of my bucket list to-do’s…here’s a quick video of one of two such premier suites at this resort.

If you simply cannot wait until Oct. 2022 to enjoy an AMR Collection upgraded Impression experience, you do have an alternative. Secrets Impression Moxche is the second Impression “resort within a resort” upgrade within the AMR Collection family; the original Impression section opened in 2018 at Zoetry Paraiso de la Bonita which is an award winning all-inclusive resort famous for its spa, unique artwork and decor. At this boutique resort it is called the “Impression Club”, just nine private beachfront villas catering to those who want luxury and privacy at an all-inclusive which already focuses on customer service and a unique resort experience.
Riu resorts have got to be one of the best vacation values out there. I have been to several in the Cancun and Riviera Maya areas and have had a great time at each one. If you are looking for more “bang for your buck” vacation values, here’s another option.
The videos are finally starting to get posted for the brand new Hilton Tulum, an all-inclusive resort located on a bay between Akumal and Tulum which opened May 2022. At the present time it’s the largest all-inclusive resort under the Hilton brand with 735 rooms and suites, eight pools plus a kid’s water park, 13 restaurants, three bars, separate kid’s and teens clubs, and an on-site gym.
Another new resort opening I overlooked…The new Ventus Ha’ is a luxury hotel located in the midst of the mangroves right behind Ventus at Marina El Cid, while Ventus at Marina El Cid was added as an adjoining sister resort to Marina El Cid in 2017. The new Ventus Ha’ opened November 2021. All three are family-friendly; if you stay at the new Ventus Ha’ you have access to three resorts–stay at one play at three.
Here’s a swim-up option for those vacationers on a budget. You can still go to Cancun and stay in a swim-up suite without paying a fortune or going into debt. Cancun’s Hotel Zone has a great budget vacation option, Flamingo Cancun Resort. This family-friendly resort is located about a 20-min. drive north of the Cancun airport, and slightly over a mile from the popular La Isla Mall in the Hotel Zone. I put this resort in my “outstanding swim-up” list because most of these swim-ups are right on the beach, have ocean views (some room’s ocean views are partially obstructed by thick vegetation and palm/coconut trees), plus you have easy access to malls and the Party Zone in Cancun’s Hotel Zone.
I thought a great deal about whether or not I should add this swim-up Jr. Suite at Wyndham Alltra Cancun to my “best of” series and finally decided to highlight it since it has such awesome oceanfront views.
