I just became aware that Riu Palace Peninsula will be closing for renovations starting April 6, 2026. The projected reopening date will be anywhere from July 25 to August 8, 2026.

Time for another suite review! This time I’m highlighting the Jacuzzi Suite at Riu Palace Peninsula which is located in Cancun’s Hotel Zone on the top of the “7”. Riu resorts are some of the best four-star all-inclusive properties which give you the most “bang for your buck”. Since this is a Riu Palace resort (an upgraded Riu property), you will have access to all Riu resorts in the area. Don’t forget to visit the Riu Caribe located adjacent to this resort; it’s also easy to take a bus down to the Riu Palace Las Americas and the Riu Cancun if you want to see what they look like as well.
