Life and Travel has posted a second video showing more of this brand new resort which just opened–Excellence Coral Playa Mujeres. Looks like the spa isn’t completely open yet, but it’s not unusual for new resorts to open their doors with some amenities not completely done.
Here’s a video done by Light Baggage which highlights some of the more popular family resorts in Cancun and the Riviera Maya. There are certainly a lot more than this video listing, but it’s a start for those looking for all-inclusive resort ideas.
Here’s another resort idea for larger families traveling together…Sensira Resort and Spa offers 359 guest rooms; several room categories are two bedroom suites (plus a sofa bed) which can accommodate parties of 7. This resort is located 20-25 min. south of Cancun’s airport, so it’s within easy driving distance once you’ve landed. It also offers 8 restaurants, 5 bars, 3 pools (including an adults-only and a separate family pool), a children’s water park area, mini-golf course, children’s zipline, climbing wall, and a Toddler’s Club for 18 mos. thru 3 yrs. (along with the typical Kid’s and Teen Clubs).

Since this is one of the resorts I will be staying at towards the end of Jan. 2025, it’s good to get a look at the resort as a whole to see what I would be interested in and what I can skip since I will only be staying here for three nights.
If you are interested in learning about the brand new upgraded Indigo Club at Dreams Sapphire, then get ready to watch a lengthy video which will tell you pretty much everything you needed to know about this resort as well as the new upgrade within an upgrade (the Indigo Club is an upgrade within the Preferred Club room category at this Dreams resort).
Better hurry and get in your last resort stay at Hyatt Zilara Cancun…it’s scheduled to close for a complete renovation.

For those who haven’t recently stayed at an Iberostar resort, the brand has been undergoing some changes including name changes and the addition of adults-only sections. This is also true for the Iberostar property in Cancun; some people will remember this oddly shaped property in Cancun’s Hotel Zone as a Hilton resort, but the property changed hands several years ago and has added an adults-only separate building called Iberostar Selection Coral Cancun. The family-friendly section is called Iberostar Selection Cancun, and adults staying in the Coral section have access to the entire resort.
