Ok, I think I’ve found out why new info coming out about the brand new Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Maya hasn’t included showing the beach…From the latest resort video by This Blond Life, it looks like the resort may not have much of a beach.
This new Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Maya all-inclusive resort is a beauty! Take a look at a new video done by 2 Getaway Travel agency showing the grounds and the Land Shark Brewery…I noticed the beach wasn’t shown but that might be because of sargassum or something is not done yet in that area of the resort. Another new video by another videographer also does not show the beach…hmm. It’s almost a given that new resorts upon opening have yet to finish some of their rooms and/or amenities.
Every once in awhile I get an email asking me what all-inclusive resorts are “party central” in Cancun and the Riviera Maya. In my last post, I attached a video about Breathless Riviera Cancun and mentioned its topless-optional Xcerelate Party Zone Pool and amenities which encourage socialization and engender a party atmosphere. While this Breathless resort in the Riviera Maya and the new Breathless Cancun Soul located in Cancun’s Hotel Zone are recognized as luxury party resorts, there are some vacationers who still want to find a more hard core all night party which makes them feel like its spring break in their 20’s all over again. Also, the LGBTQIA community and other “lifestylers”, such as swingers, want to find a party resort where they feel welcomed and not judged.
For those Secrets resort lovers out there, don’t forget about Secrets Riviera Cancun; this resort is actually attached to Breathless Riviera Cancun and if you stay in the Secrets section you have access to the entire resort.
Vacationers “in the know” have been enjoying serene stays at Zoëtry Paraiso de la Bonita since 2001. These vacationers already are aware that this family-friendly oceanfront resort only has 90 suites (each one is named), the first Thalasso Spa in North America (Thalasso spa treatments incorporate salt water, seaweed, and mud), a super-relaxed resort vibe, and is uniquely designed with fabrics and art pieces from around the world.
If you don’t mind vacationing with kids but desire a bit of adults-only ambiance, then check out Hyatt Ziva Cancun, a family-friendly luxury resort right on Punta Cancun in the Hotel Zone.
If you want to stay close to vibrant 5th Ave. in the city of Playa del Carmen while on vacation, check out Wyndham Alltra Playa del Carmen. This property has fairly recently changed its name twice–Gran Porto became Panama Jacks, and Panama Jacks has now become a Wyndham Alltra property.
If you or your family is looking for a resort with a lot of vacation fun options, check out Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun. This resort originally was being built as The Senator Riviera Cancun, but was bought out by Marriott and opened Dec. 2022. It is located next to Dreams Natura close to Puerto Morelos.
If you’re interested in what the new addition is like at Haven Riviera Cancun, take a look at the video I found on YouTube. It shows the new restaurant, Tahani, and the two new pool areas. I was beginning to wonder whether it was actually fully open, after all it’s been since Nov. that the resort advertised the new addition to be open…
I never hear or read much about this all-inclusive resort–maybe I’m not looking in the right places. Sensira Resort and Spa opened without a lot of fanfare or social media coverage in 2021 and has slowly built a fan base with its many amenities. Trip Advisor ratings are mostly good with an average score of 4.7 out of 5–in TA terms, that equates to an “excellent rating”.
