There are multiple new/rebranded/totally renovated all-inclusive properties which have just opened or will open within the next several months. It’s hard to keep track of them all, but if you want a quick look at them I have posted a video below which introduces you to the basics of what they have to offer.

I made a post a couple of days ago about the TA’s visiting the new Secrets Mirabel Cancun, and yes, it is now open. So anyone with reservations coming up does not have to worry about further postponements….
Surprise, surprise, surprise, (not), Secrets Mirabel Cancun’s opening has been delayed until Nov. 15, 2025. While the resort will (supposedly) be open then, the spa will not be done until Feb./March 2026.
An update here concerning the brand new Secrets Mirabel which was scheduled to open Oct. 2025 but now has been postponed until sometime in Nov. 2025 (I swear the new Secrets and Dreams resorts are NEVER open on time). Since there is no set date in Nov. I would be willing to bet that they won’t be open until early Dec. 2025 or even Jan. 2026 if things go really south. The spa won’t be available for use until Feb. 2026.
Paraiso de la Bonita, formerly Zoëtry Paraiso de la Bonita (and now a Marriott resort), had their Grand Opening Jan. 2025, and since then I’ve been searching for a good video to post which highlighted the massive renovations the resort has supposedly made. This is the best one I could find so far, and happy to post it for those who want to know what the resort now looks like.
The beautiful adults-only Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya resort has just announced that they are now offering a true ocean view suite category that also includes a private plunge pool. It’s right on the beach and there are only 36 of them including ground floor and top floor suites.
Remember Now Emerald? It closed early 2024 for an extensive renovation by Hyatt and will be open Oct. 2025 as (drum roll)…Secrets Mirabel Cancun.
I’ve stayed at both Hotel Xcaret Mexico and Hotel Xcaret Arte and believe me they are among the best of the best when it comes to all-inclusive resort choices in Cancun and the Riviera Maya. Hotel Xcaret Mexico just underwent a $700 million renovation and made the resort twice as large as it was with lots of new amenities for families (the Arte property is ages 16+ while the Mexico property is family-friendly).
Hotel Xcaret Mexico is a pretty wonderful family-friendly luxury resort. It not only is a stunning looking property, but it offers great food and Hotel Xcaret’s All-Fun Inclusive Program which means you get free airport transportation (to and from), free admission to select local parks (plus transportation there and back), and free select excursions–I had a wonderful trip to Chichén Itzá during my resort stay and I didn’t spend an extra dime.
