Excellence resorts, in my opinion, are some of the best all-inclusive properties in Mexico (some would say in the Caribbean). The brand knows how to give vacationers almost everything they’d want on a trip–luxurious but not stuffy surroundings and suites, good food, great drinks with top-shelf liquor, they don’t skimp on in-room liquor, lots of pool experiences and things to do on-site. It’s almost the perfect vacation.

Interested In The Beach At The New AVA Cancun Resort?
For those of you interested in what the beach actually looks like at the new family-friendly AVA Cancun, here’s recent drone footage done by My Trip Coach Kaley. While the resort is now open, note that there are no loungers on the beach, so beach setup whatsoever.
Is AVA Almost Ready For June 1?
Is the brand new property AVA Resort Cancun ready to open on June 1, 2024 as advertised? From the brief video below is looks pretty close to being done on the exterior; if it’s like many new resorts there’s usually several amenities that won’t be open on their opening date.
Isla Mujeres From A Drone–A Thorough Review of This Beautiful Island…
I found this great video of the beautiful island of Isla Mujeres which is easily reached from Cancun’s Hotel Zone. It’s great for a day trip if you are staying in Cancun or the Playa Mujeres/Costa Mujeres areas since there are multiple ferry piers to take people over to the island. You also have the option of booking a catamaran excursion which will take you to Isla Mujeres in addition to providing snorkeling opportunities plus an open bar and lunch from your catamaran.
New Video Of Secrets Impression Isla Mujeres
There’s a recently posted drone video on YouTube (by Kellon Mohan) about the brand new Secrets Impression Isla Mujeres resort. It just opened several days ago so info coming out is slow right now, but hang in there for more videos to share. If you have an Instagram account, there are now pics on there about various areas of the resort as well.
Tired of Christmas Shopping and Preparation? Take a Break at Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya…
I have been feeling quite fatigued with both Christmas preparations and work and needed a quick “mind vacation” to one of the most popular all-inclusive adults-only resorts in the Riviera Maya, Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya. This resort has a reputation for being both luxurious and fun and attracts lots of couples and groups of friends traveling together.
I Forgot About Ocean Riviera Paradise…
Since I try and provide information on so many all-inclusive resorts in Cancun and the Riviera Maya, sometimes I forget that several even exist. It’s not that they are not a good resort, they just fall off my radar from time-to-time.
Remember Akumal Bay Beach and Wellness Resort?
Now here’s a resort I’ve wanted to visit for quite some time…Akumal Bay Beach and Wellness Resort is located right on Akumal Bay (also known as the Bay of Turtles) and offers vacationers a great stay in a jungle setting with wonderful snorkeling and diving opportunities just steps away from your room. It offers multiple oceanfront guestroom buildings and pools, multiple beach bars, a sushi bar, oceanfront yoga opportunities, a spa and gym, plus a buffet and four a la carte restaurants. The only negative here is the lack of swim-up bars, but there are bars set up all along the entire beachfront so you won’t have to go far to get a drink. And let’s not forget the resort’s rooftop Jacuzzi rooms with sweeping Akumal Bay and ocean vistas, my personal favorite.
Another Bang For Your Buck Resort…
Riu resorts have got to be one of the best vacation values out there. I have been to several in the Cancun and Riviera Maya areas and have had a great time at each one. If you are looking for more “bang for your buck” vacation values, here’s another option.
Drone Shots of Hotel Xcaret Arte and Casa de la Playa
Interested in the newest Grupo Xcaret properties? Hotel Xcaret Arte has already opened, and on-time, while the neighboring property, Casa de la Playa, is still slated to open Dec. 2021. The drone video below shows a bit of the shoreline for both properties; looks like there is limited space to enter the water at Arte–at least the water color is beautiful now that the sargassum issue has abated for the season.
