I just got back from my latest Mexico trip and discovered a truly great category of swim-up/out suite. Haven Riviera Cancun is a gorgeous five star resort (a complete resort review to be posted soon) with a large amount of swim-out suites (88 I believe) located throughout the property. I stayed in an upgraded Serenity Club Jr. Suite Swim-Out Oceanfront and thought it was the best swim-out suite I’d ever experienced. Let me share with you why I think you cannot go wrong booking this suite category.

Pools at Secrets Moxche…
I love it when intrepid vacationers brave soft openings in order to give armchair travelers/potential guests info on new resorts…Here’s a short video from a travel agent who is currently on-site at Secrets Moxche. It shows the pools at this newest Secrets resort…what do you think?
Secrets Moxche Jr. Suite Swim-Out…
Wanna see what the new Secrets Moxche Preferred Club Jr. Suite Swim-Out Tropical View looks like? The video below will show you the room amenities. Looks like Secrets has added a wine fridge like other 5 star resorts like TRS Coral and TRS Yucatan, you will probably have to purchase the bottle but you can keep it cold for free…
Outstanding Swim-Ups–Dreams Playa Mujeres
I’m going to continue my “best of” series since I’m now back from my Mexico vacay–the current series, if you may remember, concerns swim-up/out suites.
Tomorrow’s The Big Day!
Secrets Moxche Playa del Carmen is opening tomorrow! Yes, really. No more delays. While the upgraded Impressions sections will open August 1, the regular and Preferred Club sections are up and running. Once the first guests are settled in there will be a more accurate report of exactly what, if any, resort amenities are still being worked on (it is a common occurrence for work to still be ongoing on some amenities during a soft opening).
Update On Rooms at the New Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya
FYI: I just got informed that the opening date for this resort is scheduled for Dec. 1, 2022.
Info On Covid Test at Planet Hollywood Cancun…
I just returned from my latest Mexico trip and thought I’d post about my Covid test experience at the last resort I stayed at–Planet Hollywood Cancun.
Interested in Room Decor and Layout at Secrets Moxche?
Here’s a sneak peek of a Preferred Club room at the new Secrets Moxche Playa del Carmen. The resort is slated to open in just four days on the 18th…what do you think? Are you planning on staying here?
Outstanding Swim-Ups–Breathless Riviera Cancun
Here’s another rare type of swim-up–one that’s beachfront. I already posted about the beachfront swim-up at Dreams Sapphire, here’s one more with super easy beach access at Breathless Riviera Cancun. Note that both resorts belong to the AMR Collection. Breathless Resorts are typically marketed towards more affluent younger adults (ages 21+), but the young at heart could certainly have quite a party here as well. So if you are over age 40, don’t pass this resort by if you still like to have a good time while vacationing in a more boisterous resort atmosphere. FYI: The resort is divided into various sections–Secrets Riviera Cancun is on the south side, while the Energy section of Breathless is in the middle (it’s called Energy section but it’s more “tame”), while the actual party section is in the most northern section of the resort (the resort refers to it as the “freestyle zone”). The party section is where the pool parties are held, and this section is topless optional I believe. I know that the giant Jacuzzi has pretty much always been topless optional, but I think the party pool is as well. Please correct me if I am wrong, I would hate for someone to book this resort thinking they could go topless in the party pool then find out they couldn’t, kind of a bummer. If vacationers are looking for a wild, topless (and sometimes temporarily bottomless) resort atmosphere, book Temptation Cancun Resort in Cancun’s Hotel Zone. Breathless pales in comparison when it comes to a party atmosphere of that kind.
