Here’s another rare type of swim-up–one that’s beachfront. I already posted about the beachfront swim-up at Dreams Sapphire, here’s one more with super easy beach access at Breathless Riviera Cancun. Note that both resorts belong to the AMR Collection. Breathless Resorts are typically marketed towards more affluent younger adults (ages 21+), but the young at heart could certainly have quite a party here as well. So if you are over age 40, don’t pass this resort by if you still like to have a good time while vacationing in a more boisterous resort atmosphere. FYI: The resort is divided into various sections–Secrets Riviera Cancun is on the south side, while the Energy section of Breathless is in the middle (it’s called Energy section but it’s more “tame”), while the actual party section is in the most northern section of the resort (the resort refers to it as the “freestyle zone”). The party section is where the pool parties are held, and this section is topless optional I believe. I know that the giant Jacuzzi has pretty much always been topless optional, but I think the party pool is as well. Please correct me if I am wrong, I would hate for someone to book this resort thinking they could go topless in the party pool then find out they couldn’t, kind of a bummer. If vacationers are looking for a wild, topless (and sometimes temporarily bottomless) resort atmosphere, book Temptation Cancun Resort in Cancun’s Hotel Zone. Breathless pales in comparison when it comes to a party atmosphere of that kind.

For those Royal Resorts fans, especially those who may miss the Royal Caribbean, mark your calendars for June 28, 2022 when it will reopen as the Royal Uno All-Inclusive Resort and Spa.
Oops–Another Rooftop Terrace Mention…
Mea culpa, I just ran across this rooftop terrace suite so obviously I had not mentioned it in my last series of highlighted rooms (rooftop terrace suites). So, let’s get to its wonderful amenities…
Outstanding Swim-Ups–Generations Riviera Maya
I just finished an incredibly stressful month with multiple lengthy business files requested for court-related matters not to mention my business audit which was completed today (thankfully I passed). I always get a bit nervous when my business files get in the hands of lawyers and courts, and anyone who has ever gone through a business audit knows what kind of stress I’m talking about. For those of you who also feel like too much energy is going towards your job, the following info will hopefully redirect that energy into a more peaceful and pleasant channel–finding the perfect swim-up suite for your Cancun/Riviera Maya vacation.
Outstanding Swim-Ups–El Dorado Seaside Suites
Here’s another outstanding swim-up suite by Karisma (I already posted about Karisma’s swim-ups at El Dorado Casitas Royale as one of the best)–hmm, I’m seeing a trend here. El Dorado Seaside Suites is an adults-only all-inclusive resort located south of the Barcelo Riviera Maya complex and Xpu-Ha beach in the Riviera Maya. All 188 rooms are suites and all suites are oceanfront–as a matter of fact, all room categories boast access to its own pool off the balcony/terrace, which means that all rooms are swim-ups.
Outstanding Swim-Up Suites–Dreams Sapphire Beachfront Swim-Ups
Looking for a swim-up suite which is right on the beach? This is a very rare resort amenity, so there aren’t many to choose from. Stop searching, because there is an all-inclusive family-friendly resort which fits the bill.
Looking To Try A Newer Water Park? Head To Jungala…
I posted an article about this water park a couple of years ago, then COVID hit and everything shut down in Mexico and elsewhere. Well, Jungala is up and running and ready to welcome guests at this awesome water park!
New Suite Series–Outstanding Swim-Ups
Many all-inclusive resorts these days have a swim-up/swim-out suite room category. There are basically two types of swim-ups–those where you can walk directly from your terrace into a pool, and those where you must walk a short ways from your terrace in order to enter the pool. I know it doesn’t sound like much of a swim-up if you have to walk a few step from your terrace in order to enter a pool, but thankfully there aren’t many swim-up suites with that configuration.
Did I Forget Something?
I believe I’ve just about exhausted reviewing resorts having rooms with a separate rooftop terrace…The only ones I may be missing are the following: the Reserve Rooftop Terrace Oceanfront Suite at Paradisus Playa Mujeres, but this resort hasn’t even opened yet, and the Ocean View Rooftop Master Suite at the newly renovated Hyatt Ziva Riviera Cancun–I don’t even know if this is a genuine rooftop terrace suite or just a large Master Suite (if any travel agents out there know about this one please let me know…)
Rooftop Suite Series–ESTUDIO Playa Mujeres Inspira Rooftop Suite
I was somewhat surprised when I found out that ESTUDIO Playa Mujeres allowed young children to stay in a rooftop suite–my children are grown but I cannot stop evaluating spaces in terms of safety issues for kids! I guess it’s a habit I will never outgrow. Watch the video below and judge for yourself, but in my own personal opinion I would not book this suite if I had children under 13 (I would also sleep with one eye open with young kids in this suite thinking they might want to wander up there by themselves…). The resort website does recommend that children under the age of 12 be closely supervised when they are up in the rooftop area, but why stress yourself out on vacation when it can be avoided?
