All-inclusive resorts used to be associated with cafeteria-style food in taste as well as presentation. That is no longer the case; there are many all-inclusive resorts which now have Michelin star chefs, chefs which have won numerous culinary awards, or those who are just plain excellent even without a plaque or medal to show.
There’s an awesome Secrets resort coming to the increasingly popular Costa Mujeres area north of downtown Cancun. While Secrets Playa Blanca had been scheduled to open Dec. 1, 2023, it has now been rescheduled to open Feb. 1, 2024. When I talked with a Secrets booking agent a couple of weeks ago who notified me of the cancellation of my Dec. reservation, he admitted that while Feb. is a tentative date of opening, that is not guaranteed either.

Looking forward to enjoying this new Secrets resort? I know I am; I will be enjoying all of its amenities this December. Secrets Tulum Resort and Beach Club is scheduled to open Oct. 12, 2023 and so far there is no hint of any delay.
The last post I did on Royalton Splash Riviera Riviera Cancun showed that the waterslides were not completed. However, since then a majority of these slide are now fully functional and look like a lot of fun for resort guests! I think there is only one green and white one which doesn’t look put together yet, but the rest are going strong.
