Paradisus Cancun To Close For Renovations

Just got back from my Cancun vacation and will have my first resort review up in about a week.  I just read that Paradisus Cancun will be closing for a complete renovation.  The resort will be halting services May 2025 and projected to reopen July 2026.

Updates To My Winter Cancun Trip 2025…

I find the actual “travel” part of a vacation to be the most stressful of the entire ordeal.  I’m assuming I’m not alone in this respect…while I spend months eagerly anticipating my destination I detest airports, everything about airports is abhorrent to me.  I’m not afraid to fly or to travel, but I even think about an airport and I’m in need of an extra spray of Arrid Extra Dry.

Marriott’s Paraiso de la Bonita Has A New Opening Time Frame…

I just ran across a Travel Weekly article that stated the fully renovated Paraiso de la Bonita will now be opening sometime in March 2025 (formerly known as Zoëtry Paraiso de la Bonita which was privately owned).  Marriott International has taken over ownership while I believe that Playa Hotels and Resorts will maintain management of the property.

Family Of Five+ Friendly Resorts–Sensira Resort and Spa

Here’s another resort idea for larger families traveling together…Sensira Resort and Spa offers 359 guest rooms; several room categories are two bedroom suites (plus a sofa bed) which can accommodate parties of 7.  This resort is located 20-25 min. south of Cancun’s airport, so it’s within easy driving distance once you’ve landed. It also offers 8 restaurants, 5 bars, 3 pools (including an adults-only and a separate family pool), a children’s water park area, mini-golf course, children’s zipline, climbing wall, and a Toddler’s Club for 18 mos. thru 3 yrs. Family Of Five+ Friendly Resorts–Villa del Palmar Cancun

Here’s another idea for larger families who want to stay together in basically the same space while vacationing.  Check out Villa del Palmar Cancun, an all-inclusive OPTIONAL resort (so be careful when booking or you may wind up with a European meal plan and have to pay a lot extra when checking in…).  This beautiful resort has 415 rooms, suites, and residences from which to choose, 5 pools, 5 restaurants, 6 bars, a garden spa on-site, plus a children’s water park which actually consists of inflatables located within the ocean.  This resort is also located close to the ferry pier to Isla Mujeres, so that is another plus for staying here.
