If anyone is interested in this new luxury family-friendly resort called SLS Playa Mujeres, here’s a new video out on YouTube by Stella in Paradise. Since this is one of the resorts I will be staying at towards the end of Jan. 2025, it’s good to get a look at the resort as a whole to see what I would be interested in and what I can skip since I will only be staying here for three nights.
Here’s another suggestion for larger families or parties traveling together–the Hilton Cancun Mar Caribe was just listed as #24 out of 25 “Best All-Inclusive Resorts For Families” by Travel and Leisure. (Don’t confuse this Hilton resort with Hilton Cancun, that is another resort located in the Riviera Maya). This resort is situated in Cancun’s Hotel Zone and about a 25 min. drive north of the Cancun airport. With its location on an eastern-facing beach in the Hotel Zone, parents and vacationers in general may want to keep in mind that the surf is rough in this section of the Hotel Zone and there are chances of experiencing rip currents–not exactly swimming conditions you’d want beginning swimmers to experience. You may find that many vacation days at the beach may be red-flagged which means dangerous swimming conditions where getting into the ocean past your knees is inadvisable.
I found a video which goes into great detail about Excellence resorts/Excellence Collection properties. I have stayed at Finest Playa Mujeres and can vouch that it truly is one of the best all-inclusive luxury resort chains out there (Hotel Xcaret resorts certainly give them a run for their $). They do everything top notch with beautiful pools and guest rooms, in-room liquor (I’m amazed at how luxury resorts skimp on this amenity with the $ they charge these days), great beaches, good food, and attentive staff.
If you are interested in learning about the brand new upgraded Indigo Club at Dreams Sapphire, then get ready to watch a lengthy video which will tell you pretty much everything you needed to know about this resort as well as the new upgrade within an upgrade (the Indigo Club is an upgrade within the Preferred Club room category at this Dreams resort).
I found this video on YouTube (done by Nitty Gritty Travelers) and thought it would be informative for those of you who want to refine your packing list when going on vacation. Over the years I have learned to pack much more efficiently and with more wisdom about what is really needed vs. what is for “just in case” situations…I can now go on a 10 day vacation to an all-inclusive resort with only my purse and a carry on suitcase. Such a relief since I don’t want to pay baggage fees or worry about whether or not my bag will be on the carousel in baggage claim.
Here’s another resort which can accommodate up to 13 people in their suites. That’s got to be a record, I haven’t come across another resort which can accommodate that many guests in one suite with multiple bedrooms.

Ever been in the position of desperately needing a vacation but the cash flow or the budget is limited when you want to book?
