Vacationers looking for another great AMR Collection resort to open should check out the brand new Breathless Cancun Soul–an adults-only hotel just west of Riu Palace Peninsula on the upper part of the “7” in the Hotel Zone. It is scheduled to open Dec. 7, 2021.
This one offers the following amenities:
- 429 guest suites in two buildings
- one main pool and two rooftop pools (one rooftop pool exclusively for upgraded Xhale Club guests), each has a swim-up bar. Supposedly they all will be heated.
- 10 restaurants (the resort is including a coffee shop in this number so I am assuming they will be offering food items of some sort). Six of the restaurants will be a la cartes.
- 11 bars including a champagne bar ($)
- spa
- theater
- sports bar/nightclub
This one missed my “resort radar” probably because Breathless resorts are typically for younger clientele who like to party in an upscale resort ambiance. While I still like to party, I am certainly not young anymore and feel like I would stand out like a sore thumb, so I tend to not book resorts like this one. But there’s always a first time for everything, right? This one looks like a winner for its intended market–do you plan on visiting anytime soon?
