The newest Grupo Xcaret resort endeavor, La Casa de la Playa, is approximately a year ahead of schedule with its opening Dec. 13, 2021. While existing resort videos don’t seem to show many guests enjoying amenities, professional videos often are planned to keep them out of video clips so it’s difficult to tell whether it’s fully operational. However, from the resort’s booking website link, no dates in the near future are blacked out which would seem to indicate that it truly is open for business. The cheapest rate I saw for a basic level jungle view suite was $650 p/night and that was for the end of May and June of 2022. If you were to go next week you would most likely pay around $950 p/night for the same room category.
La Casa de la Playa is a boutique, adults-only resort with only 63 high end suites–it also offers the “All-Fun Inclusive” resort experience which means that transportation to/from the airport is included as well as excursions to Xcaret parks and selected places of interest are included in the price you pay to stay here.
I wouldn’t exactly call La Casa de la Playa a resort, it’s more like an exclusive boutique hotel. I don’t believe it has any exchange privileges with Hotel Xcaret Arte or Hotel Xcaret Mexico, but since there is not much info out there yet I may be incorrect about that. Or, if bookings remain low due to its restrictive price tag they may decide to allow guests access to one or both of its sister resorts. Time will tell about that one.
