While I’m not exactly a spa-type person, I do appreciate a beautifully designed, serene space. The spa at Dreams Natura is just such a space. It is innovative in that this spa includes several areas and amenities that are not typically included in your all-inclusive resort spa experience. Here is how it’s different and worth experiencing for yourself:
- I would call this a grotto spa, but the real intention of the architects and designers was to make the main area of the spa resemble the many cave cenotes in the Riviera Maya. It’s very unusual and beautiful.
- There is a “video room” where you can receive a hand or scalp massage, or just sit back and relax while you watch the scenic videos while you wait for your treatment.
- You can actually hand pick scents and make your own treatment oils in a separate room.
- There are two large bridal spa suites perfect for the wedding party to get ready for the big moment.
- There are a multitude of spa products for sale, even some high-end products for sunburn.
While I didn’t receive any treatments here, my other traveling companions did and said it was very relaxing. One had a deep tissue massage while the other had a complimentary 25-min. back massage on a shiatsu chair–only upgraded Preferred Club guests get this perk (but you have to make an appointment, of course). This spa accepts guests age 16+.
Muchas gracias to Xiomara who was gracious enough to give me the escorted spa tour! My thanks also goes out to my sometimes “marketing helper”, Jared, who took time out of his vacation to take pictures while I took the video.
Take a few moments and see what the spa looks like……What do you think?

My experience at the spa. Everything is clean, new and functional which I liked. The locker rooms were big and the hydrotherapy room was spacious.
Pros: Helpful and friendly staff, inside of the hydrotherapy room and spa features a “cenote” style atmosphere; it makes you feel like you aren’t at a massage envy or chain like spa with waterfall sounds in the background; the esthetic was enjoyable. Staff spoke English, so easy to communicate.
Cons: hydrotherapy felt too guided. The staff were directing guests on what to use, how long to use it and in what order. (I guess this can be good if you like structure or new to hydrotherapy but it wasn’t my favorite spending 10+ minutes in the sauna when I’d rather spend that time under the water jets.) I asked for a deep tissue massage but considering the pressure and how deep it was, it was more of the relaxing style. Felt good but I wanted them to wreck my back in a good way. They had three options for a massage (relaxation, deep tissue and hot stone massage). I picked the deep tissue but I felt like it was not deep enough.
Overall it was a nice experience and I was able to make an appointment at the spa front desk no problem. Inside of the spa is like nothing else, Best visually appealing spa I have been to in Mexico.
Thanks for your actual spa experience feedback!
