The Wyndham hotel brand name is partnering with Playa Hotels and Resorts to rebrand two all-inclusive resorts in Cancun and the Riviera Maya.
- Panama Jack Resorts Cancun located in the Hotel Zone will become Wyndham Alltra Cancun. This will continue to be a family-friendly resort.
- Panama Jack Resorts Playa del Carmen will become Wyndham Alltra Playa del Carmen. This will be an adults-only resort.
The resorts are currently being renovated and will supposedly be ready for occupancy in Dec. 2, 2021, just in time for Christmas high season travel.
According to hotel reps, the Wyndham Alltra all-inclusive brand will be marketed as an “upper mid-scale” alternative–Alltra will be known as the brand that offers “All-Inclusive Travel For All”. The new Alltra brand will attempt to target cruisers and first-time all-inclusive vacationers and tempt them with an affordable travel alternative. (If you’ve been following the opening of new resorts in the area, it’s not difficult to notice that most are high-end and can get pretty pricey).

I don’t think guests can visit back and forth between Alltra resorts anymore. If you want a package deal you can always visit the most popular wholesalers such as Expedia, Cheap Caribbean, Booking.com, etc.
we enjoy our stay at Panama jack so has the name change because we would like to stay their again please send any information you have ,our vacation is for June
Jorge, I was at Wyndham Alltra PDC in Dec. and will be posting my resort review this weekend, so check back then to read it! The resort was great but the beach was not so great.
