Playa Hotels and Resorts has bought Grupo Posadas’ boutique resort, Live Aqua Boutique Resort Playa del Carmen.  It is now called The Yucatan Resort Playa del Carmen.  It is now under the Hilton brand–points can be accrued and used here.  It looks a bit different in terms of decor, but the rooftop area makes in difficult to mistake it as anything else.

To briefly recap this resort, here are the basics:

• adults-only all-inclusive hotel
• only 60 guest rooms and suites
• five guest room categories–check out that Master Suite!
• great rooftop pool, bar, and snack bar–they are advertising pool parties in the future
• easy access to busy Playa del Carmen for shopping, nightlife, and additional restaurant and bar options just in case you want some variety
• walking distance to the beach
• guests can use the beach area of the other Hilton all-inclusive nearby (Hilton Playa del Carmen)
• upgrading to All-Inclusive Plus allows access to bars and restaurants at Hilton Playa del Carmen
