The brand new Secrets Playa Blanca Costa Mujeres is still scheduled to officially open Feb. 1, 2024.  However, not all of the resort amenities will be available until after its opening.  Here’s my understanding about which amenities will be delayed and when they may be available for resort guests:

• Phase I, available upon opening Feb. 1, 2024.  Out of 507 rooms, only 341 rooms will be available.  Most restaurants and bars will be available with the exception of Oceana restaurant which will be available at the end of Feb.
• Phase II, available April 1, 2024.  Theater, meeting rooms, tennis courts, pickleball courts, and the rest of the guest rooms will be available.
• Phase III, available June 1, 2024.  Spa and gym will be available.

According to this, in actuality some major resort amenities will not be available until June.  If you can have a great vacation without some of your favorite things to do being ready for use, then no doubt you should have a wonderful time!  If working out or having a spa treatment or even playing pickleball is important for a great vacation, you may want to delay your booking until after June 2024.
