All Ritmo Cancun Resort and Waterpark–A Suite Review

Looking for more affordable all-inclusive resorts in Cancun?  Here’s a family-friendly all-inclusive optional resort just north of downtown Cancun on the way to Playa/Costa Mujeres beach areas.  It’s the All Ritmo Cancun Resort and Waterpark (which used to be called Sea Adventure Resort and Waterpark); it changed its name two years ago, but most of what the resort has to offer has not differed in any significant manner.

The resort has 115 guest rooms and suites with many offering an ocean view.  It has three a la carte restaurants and one buffet restaurant, three bars (including a swim-up bar), a dinner show offered several times a week, a gym, Kid’s Club, games room, non-motorized water sports, tennis courts, sports court, mini-golf, two separate pool areas, three Jacuzzis, and a great water park which is fun for both adults and children including waterslides and the always fun overhead water bucket. The water park and sports areas are quite large and have their own space across the street from the resort entrance–guests can reach the water park by using the tunnel located underneath the busy roadway.  This resort has lots to offer families on a budget; online discounts and promotions are frequently offered (at the time of the writing of this post, the resort was offering “kids under 12 stay free”).

Surprisingly, even Standard rooms are quite roomy, but views can vary quite a bit– some rooms don’t even have a balcony, however.  If you are thinking of staying here, the better rooms/suites include the Jacuzzi Ocean View suite with a balcony Jacuzzi for couples, while the Imperial Suite Ocean View is great for larger families (it can sleep eight). The Imperial Suite also has a balcony Jacuzzi but keep in mind that your party has to have a minimum of four people to be able to book this room category.  Don’t expect high-end technological capability in the rooms, they are comfortable and spacious but basic in their offerings.

Since most vacationers are not familiar with this particular resort, I’ve included a resort video which shows the overall amenities as well as pictures of what the rooms look like so that you can get an idea of typical furnishings, floor plan, etc.  Take a few minutes and see what the resort has to offer in the video included below.  What do you think–would you stay here?
