I’m definitely slipping in my old age, lol, or else the all-inclusive resort market in Cancun and the Riviera Maya is getting too overwhelming for me to keep track of–I would like to believe it’s the latter!
On the heels of the most recent Hilton all-inclusive opening (Hilton Cancun in the Riviera Maya) comes another all-inclusive resort opening–Hilton Tulum Riviera Maya. It’s not actually located in Tulum; rather, it’s located just south of the Bahia Principe resort complex outside of Akumal, about 11 miles north of the Tulum ruins. It adjoins another Hilton luxury property which also just opened, the Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya. The Conrad is not an all-inclusive property, however. The two resorts will reportedly share the spa, convention facilities, and large auditorium.
This new Hilton features the following amenities:
- beachfront…This resort and the Conrad actually sit on what more resembles a bay; the actual beach in front of the resort doesn’t look like it’s usable so guests may have to walk a bit to sit on the beach and swim in ocean waters.
- 735 rooms and suites which makes it the largest Hilton all-inclusive to date
- 9 pools (? I don’t see swim-up suites in their room offerings, but swim-up pools normally are a part of how this number is generated).
- 13 restaurants and bars
- kid’s splash park
There’s not much info out yet about this resort since it just opened. Below is a short video of computer generated pics; it’s not much, but it will give people an idea of what the resort looks like.
What do you think? Would you stay here?
