Royal Tower Guest Room at Grand Park Royal Cancun–A Suite Review

Looking for nice adults-only accommodations in a family-friendly Cancun Hotel Zone resort?  Grand Park Royal Cancun offers its Royal Tower adults-only section with a great location–within a mile of the clubs which means a long walk or an easy bus ride to evening fun!

This resort offers four accommodation sections:  the impressive looking main resort tower, the Premiere Tower, the adults-only Royal Tower, and the Villa section.  The resort has 311 guest rooms and suites in total, two pools (one is adults-only), five restaurants (one is an additional cost, however), a taco grill and pizza corner by the pools, coffee and ice cream shop (they also make paninis here), four bars including a great rooftop bar with a view of Nichupte Lagoon, a spa and a gym.  FYI:  complimentary a la carte restaurants don’t allow anyone under age 12, so if you have young children you are stuck with the buffet or room service if you don’t want to fork over $25-$30 p/person for a meal in the additional cost restaurant.  For that reason alone I would skip this resort if you have children under the age of 12.

The Royal Tower is located between the main resort tower and the adults-only pool; it is right on the beach so views are stellar.  While all resort accommodations have been renovated, Royal Tower rooms have particularly lovely decor with comfortable seating, funky wall art, and an automated privacy screen which rolls down to separate the bathroom with its Jacuzzi tub from the bedroom/sitting room areas.

The room highlighted in this video is the Royal Tower Guest Room; there are a few rooms called Royal Tower Suites which also have a terrace plunge pool, but these are typically in high demand and there are very few available.  Check out the video; what do you think?  Would you stay here?
