Panoramic Suite at GR Solaris–A Suite Review

Here’s another in my series of budget all-inclusive resort suite reviews.  This time I’m highlighting the family-friendly GR Solaris Cancuna resort on the east side of the “7” in Cancun’s Hotel Zone.  This resort is very popular with families looking for four star resort amenities at a very affordable price.

The resort is located on the eastern side of the “7” in Cancun’s Hotel Zone.  It’s a short drive from the airport, right on the beach with ocean views from many resort balconies, and offers a large pool complex consisting of three separate pools including an adults-only smaller pool complete with a Jacuzzi.  GR Solaris offers five restaurants including a brick oven pizzeria and poolside snack area, three bars, gym and spa, tennis court, Kid’s Club with shallow pool and small water park area, and nightly shows.

Rooms at GR Solaris are basic but comfortable.  The best rooms to book here are the Panoramic View and Ocean View Whirlpool Suites.  I’m highlighting the Panoramic View room–it’s oceanfront with wonderful views from two separate balcony areas; one is a Juliet-style balcony (you can stand but there’s no room to sit), the other is a regular balcony with two chairs and a small table from which to enjoy the sights and sounds of the ocean.

I’ve included both a link to photos of this room category thanks to Oyster.com (I couldn’t find any good videos), plus a general video of the resort to give you an idea of what it looks like.

Would you stay here if looking for a budget all-inclusive accommodation?
