can you get a printable layout of ocean rivera paradise and do you have to make dinner reservations before you get there?
Barbara: http://www.resortsmaps.com offers many printable resort maps. Once you bring up the main website you have to go to the Mexico category, then click on the Riviera Maya section to get the list of maps. As to the dinner reservations, I will check on the latest status of this and get back to you later this afternoon after I get done at work. how far is the hotel from the beach?
Barbara: To the best of my understanding if you are not booked Premium upgrade (Premium guests’ concierge/butler can make dinner reservations for you)the only restaurant you can make reservations for is the Japanese for the teppanyaki tables. Otherwise you just show up and hope for the best. Guests must get in line (I believe it is at the restaurant to do so) with reservations being taken at 4 p.m. Many people show up around 45-60 min. ahead of time to get in line. Verify the info at check-in, or you can ask a question beforehand by calling the resort or sending a message through Facebook if you have an account.
What is the cost of transportation to Cancun or Playa del Carmen? Does the resort provide a shuttle?
Janine: No resort shuttle as far as I am aware. Are you speaking of taking a cab from the resort into PDC? The resort is fairly close so it may cost in the vicinity of $13-$15 one way. Some people take the colectivos, or public shuttle service in the Riviera Maya, which would be cheaper. You can catch them standing roadside. If you are not familiar with the area I would take a cab; if you want more info on the colectivo system send me another message and I can provide some links.
sorry it took so long to reply. Yes, I am very familiar as we go most every year. Please send me the links to the colectivo system. This term is new to me.
Janine: Here’s a link to info about the colectivos/combis. https://travelyucatan.com/collectivo/
Is there a 1800 number for this resort?
Their website says 1-888-531-8927. I believe that is a toll-free number.
are the privileged suites farther from the beach?
how far is the hotel from the beach?
this resort is beachfront. The nearest building to the beach would be the Eden section.
It’s beachfront.
