I found a helpful video about the newly opened Secrets Playa Blanca Costa Mujeres; it highlights what the resort is doing to cover the major resort amenities which haven’t been completed yet (like the theater and the spa).

Just got back from Secrets Playa Mujeres yesterday. Lots of talk about the new resort. Secrets Playa Mujeres is getting a rehab at some point this year, they were going to close in April, now delayed till October or December.
We’ll likely visit Playa Blanca next February. Have already been looking at rooms online.
Side note, we paid our Visitax online, no one ever asked us about it at the airport yesterday when we returned, so still not being enforced.
Thanks for all your info! I was planning on calling Secrets to ask about Secrets PM renovations and you answered my question!!! As to the Visitax, I’m not taking any chances at this point because they could choose to reinforce it at any time. Glad you had a wonderful trip!
