The new Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun opened five days ago!  And I was correct after all–it has replaced the resort build which was previously to be known as the Senator.  This resort is located south of the Royalton Riviera Cancun and north of Dreams Natura.  I stayed at Dreams Natura a couple of years ago and I can comment from experience that the beach here is not ideal.  But the resort amenities appear to be more than enough fun for most family members!
