Live Aqua Cancun Viento Suite Review

Ahhhh, it’s Friday and time for another suite review….I’m highlighting the Viento Suite in one of my favorite all-inclusive resorts, Live Aqua Beach Resort Cancun.  I stayed at Live Aqua during my very first visit to Cancun–I’ve never forgotten the fantastic ocean view from my balcony, the snacks and drinks at the Aqua Club Lounge for upgraded guests, the spa-like aroma of the entire resort, the incredibly friendly service, and the wonderful pools and day beds, all of which have me returning for a second visit in just a couple of weeks.  Live Aqua recently finished a thorough renovation including its guest rooms, so I will be checking out everything to see what these changes look like.

Just a few facts/suggestions concerning Live Aqua:

  • it’s adults-only
  • its signature amenity is its pool area.  There are multiple pools and they are heated to various degrees, surrounded by day beds and loungers (from which you can order a tasty lunch–try the shrimp tacos!), check out the view from the beachfront infinity pool, and don’t forget the swim-up bar in the north pool.
  • I love the beach swing bar, it’s easy to walk past so look for it.
  • have a quick lunch at the open-air Sea Corner restaurant with great ocean views
  • if you have booked an Aqua Club room or any suite category, make frequent visits to the Aqua Club Lounge on the 5th floor to check out its multiple offerings during the day.  I always started out the evening (pre-dinner) here with hors d’oeuvres and champagne while chatting with other guests.
  • while this resort is not entertainment-based, you can find a pool table on the ground floor, or maybe you will be lucky to be here when an impromptu dance party breaks out in Egos lobby bar.

The Viento Suite is one of a number of various suite categories at Live Aqua. While it’s not the fanciest suite, it gives vacationers more space to spread out with a separate living room area, access to complimentary day bed use, access to the Aqua Club Lounge, private check-in/out, and it’s still affordable.  If you want more balcony space try the Aqua Suite, and if you want to totally splurge try the Presidential Suite at $2,800 a night for one person (ay caramba!)

Here’s a short video of the Viento Suite post renovation….would you stay here?
