Interested in Knowing About Moon Palace–The Grand?

I found a video done by one of my favorite resort videographers, 3 Days 3 Noches, about the newest addition to the very popular Moon Palace resort.  The Grand was finished in 2017 and adds a whopping 1,316 rooms to Moon Palace’s overall room count of 2,433.  While I can’t find a firm number concerning total guest capacity of this resort as a whole, it is somewhere over 10,000 for the entirety of this huge mega-resort complex.  With this kind of potential demand, you have to know that this resort must offer something special to keep guests coming back year after year as well as being able to attract new guests.

The Grand is considered to be the crown jewel of existing Palace resorts and certainly does things in a grand way.  It offers a large water park with multiple slides (even for adults), a massive kid’s club area complete with a bumper car section, a new bowling alley, multiple pools including an adults-only pool, and access to all the restaurants, bars, and amenities of the entire resort.  Guests staying at the Moon Palace section, however, have to purchase a day pass in order to gain access to The Grand which runs about $100 USD p/person p/day.

The Grand’s best asset?  Active vacationers can find just about anything they’d want to do on vacation since the resort as a whole offers an adjacent golf course as well as being very close to Cancun’s Hotel Zone for access to shopping and nightclubs.  Its worst feature, however, would be the beach area.  This is not a resort for beach lovers.  If you cannot live without a great beach experience while on vacation, Palace resorts offers you the chance to visit Beach Palace in Cancun’s Hotel Zone where you can frolic in turquoise waters and eat and drink to your heart’s content at that resort’s restaurants and bars.

Here’s a video highlighting The Grand’s amenities.  With a resort this large, planning is a MUST, and having info in advance will aid in planning how to make the most of a vacation at this particular property.

What do you think?  Have you been to this property before?
