just saw your youtube video of Riu Palace las Americas in Cancun. It is advertised as all inclusive and adult only, but we saw sites where there are children and comments about family friendly restaurants, etc. So is it family friendly or adult only. We visit mexico a lot and also do all inclusives but we find it challenging to request an ocean view with a terrace (sit down), any tips?
Theresa: Riu Palace Las Americas in the Cancun hotel zone is now adults-only and has been for at least a year or more. Most rooms at this Riu resort have some sort of ocean view, some can be spectacular especially those on a higher floor. Just make sure to book a room “with sea view”. The video here on this page is about the Hotel Xcaret Mexico which is a brand new AI in the Riviera Maya south of Playa del Carmen–Hotel Xcaret Mexico is family-friendly.
hi.. great vieo on xcaret mexico-
can you please give me some information on the tours ?
are all the parks listed included in your package ? or do you have to pay for ziplining, amphibious vehicles etc ?
are you a travel agent
can you tell me pricing for the room you listed ?
thanks
Hello Kim: Thanks for watching my video. I am not a travel agent, this is just a travel blog I started as an empty-nester. I stayed here in Feb. 2018 and booked the Fuego oceanfront suite on Booking.com. I paid roughly $3,200 for two adults for five nights and eventually got $200 back as a promotional deal from Booking.com. Fairly pricey, but I thought it was well worth it considering everything included in the price. I have written a post on my experience in my blog (I don’t know if you have read that) which lists the various excursions and parks included in the resort price. Most of the basics at these parks you won’t have to pay extra for; things like picture packages and swimming with creatures/using special equipment will always cost extra. If you go to Xplor you should not be paying anything extra for stated ziplining circuits or amphibious vehicles (park’s websites list what’s included in admission price). Let me know if you have other questions. M. Tess
