If you’ve ever stayed at a Club Med for families you know that it can be one of the most fun vacations out there for ALL family members.  My family stayed at Club Med Ixtapa many years ago when my children were very young and we have never forgotten our Club Med experience–the Circus School, sailing lessons, tennis time, nightly entertainment, our room near the sea, Kid’s Club fun for the children, everything was fabulous.

Club Med Cancun is all set to wow their guests with a major renovation.  The resort will stay open during the renovations so don’t expect any problems with resort closures.  However, there may be temporary amenity closures or some noise associated with renovations.  Renovations will be in stages with the last one ending Dec. 2024 (the new Family Oasis section and Kid’s Club relocation).

Here’s the short list of upcoming renovations:

  • A brand new Sports and Wellness Island.  This space will include the famous Circus School, yoga palapa with lagoon view, plus sections for archery, bocce ball, mini-golf, and multi-sports courts.  This reno is scheduled for an April 2024 completion.
  • New play facilities including a themed Splash Park, water park, mini-pool, and playground.
  • Dedicated Family Oasis and Kid’s Club area.  The Kid’s Club section will be relocated adjacent to the pickleball courts and Aguamarina family section for easier access.  Those who are planning on bringing their babies/toddlers will be relieved to know that children ages 4 mos. to 23 mos. will have their own dedicated space with its own mini-gym; however, use of the Baby Club will be an extra charge.  FYI:  Baby Welcome Service will stay the same–access to in-room baby amenities like tubs, baby beds, bottle warmers, strollers, etc. will still be provided on a complimentary basis.  This reno is scheduled for a Dec. 2024 completion.

What do you think?  Would you stay here and take advantage of Club Med’s newest renovations?  I can’t wait until my grandson, who is only a year and a half, will be old enough to make more grand family memories at a Club Med resort!
