If you are tracking what’s going on with the newly opened Secrets Playa Blanca Costa Mujeres, you will know that pools are plentiful, ocean views are gorgeous, and business is kind of slow right now, but that is as expected for a newly opened resort that has already made it known that some of their amenities won’t be open until June.

If you want to know where it is, Google Maps shows it as being located between Riu Palace Costa Mujeres to the north and Planet Hollywood Cancun to the south in the Costa Mujeres area of the Yucatan Peninsula–that means it is north of downtown Cancun proper and north of Playa Mujeres as well.  I would estimate that it would take approximately 40-45 min. to drive there from the Cancun airport.

Looks like this new Secrets has some awesome suites…below is a video done by Vincent Vacations of an upgraded Preferred Club Jr. Suite Oceanfront.  Notice the lack of privacy in the bathroom (for some vacationers this is very important as to whether or not to book a resort); there is a balcony Jacuzzi, and the balcony space is very large for a Jr. Suite.  Nice!
