A New Suite Review at The Fives

Larger families and groups traveling together often have a difficult time finding all-inclusives which can accommodate their entire party while allowing for sufficient space for everyone involved.  The Fives Azul Beach Resort Playa del Carmen is a perfect choice to meet these specifications–suites come in a variety of bedrooms, from the standard type of room to three-bedroom suites with rooftop space.  This resort is located close to Playa del Carmen in the Riviera Maya which also makes it easy to shop in Playa, take excursions to the many wonderful cenotes and parks in the Riviera Maya, or just stay on-site and enjoy what the resort has to offer.  Karisma has spent over $40 million on renovations during the last several years which has included new guest room buildings, additional restaurants, a new Plaza area where guests can meet and mingle, and has also pumped sand into the ocean in their attempt to make a smoother ocean entry.

The resort itself offers 13 restaurants, 9 bars, 7 pools, and a gym and spa for guests’ enjoyment.  Monkey sightings are not unusual here, live entertainment occurs in the evenings, and there are multiple paths to traverse and enjoy the beautifully landscaped and well maintained grounds.

The best choice of accommodation for larger groups traveling together would be the Penthouse Resort Residence category (these used to be known as Sky Suites).  This suite category comes in one, two, or three bedroom options with a huge rooftop “lounge” which actually doubles the living space of the suite.  Rooftop areas include larger tables and chairs, full loungers, large non-movable seating area, a day bed, shower, toilet area, and Jacuzzi.  Each bedroom in this suite category has its own full bathroom, while living room areas are large allowing family members or larger groups to congregate in one space.  One interesting aspect of The Fives is that many suites come with full kitchens including large refrigerators and dishwashers–not practical if booking an all-inclusive package, but a nice touch if needed by larger groups. (This resort used to be listed as an all-inclusive optional).

This resort would be a great choice for family reunions, families of six or more, girls’ weekends, or small business retreats.  Have a look at the short video below and tell me what you think, would you stay here?
