For those interested in visiting the Aqua Nick water park at the new Nickelodeon Riviera Maya resort, here are some fun facts:
- it’s free for resort guests
- you can purchase a day pass to visit if not staying at this resort (the day pass for the Nickelodeon resort in the Dominican Republic is around $125 USD, so I’m imagining the day pass here is comparable–kids under age 4 should be able to visit for free). Check and make sure day passes will be honored for those not staying here; day passes were not yet available when the resort first opened in August 2021.
- the water park alone is located on six acres within the resort, plenty of space to move around and have some water fun
- “sliming” occurs daily at 1:30 p.m.
- cabanas are available for an extra cost
- water slides and fun for all ages, even adults
- lazy river included
- wave pool included
- nets for crossing over water
- climbing wall in a pool
- 21 water slides, even a drop slide for older kids and adults (you stand on a trap door and the lever is released with a resultant free fall on a water slide…quite fun and kind of scary for first timers)
- drinks and food handily available
- lots of life guards, guests report feeling very safe because of that factor
Here are two videos highlighting Aqua Nick…the first is a general walkthrough of the water park, the second contains more resort info–see the beginning of the second video to see aerial views of the water park and resort, then jump to 4:30 to see the water park. The second video is in Spanish, but you can still view what is covered in the water park to get a better idea of what it offers.
