Who doesn’t like to enjoy a private pool as a part of one’s own guest room when vacationing?  I know I certainly do, and with new resort builds it is becoming more of an emphasis.

Here’s another one to consider…It’s not a new resort; in fact, El Dorado Maroma opened in 2007 and has been going strong ever since with its boutique-like resort vibe (it only has about 128 suites), lush jungle setting, and excellent beach to enjoy (Maroma Beach was once voted as being among the best of the best beaches in the world).

The room category is Private Pool Suite–there is also another category called Royal Retreat Private Pool Suite which includes the following extra perks:

• private check-in/out
• access to a private beach area with butler service
• in-room dining menu
• pillow menu
• upgraded mini-bar

This resort is primarily for couples who want to reconnect with each other in a tropical setting.  There is not much to do onsite besides the usual pool and restaurant diversions, but Lomas Hospitality has recently added their More Inclusive program which includes additional perks such as select excursions, airport transportation, etc….check out their options by clicking this link…
